WARNING! If you are holding a pointer to the ImageProcessor as obtained from ImagePlus getProcessor() method, the pixel array pointer of that ImageProcessor will be set to null. You should instead call duplicate() on the ImageProcessor, or get its pixels directly via getPixels() and store them in a new ImageProcessor of the same dimensions (setting along the LUT, etc)........

TITLE : Automate the Boring Stuff with Python
The color of an individual pixel can be retrieved or set with the getpixel() and putpixel() methods. These methods both take a tuple representing the x- and y-coordinates of the pixel. The putpixel() method also takes an additional tuple argument for the color of the pixel. This color argument is a four-integer RGBA tuple or a three-integer RGB tuple. Enter the following into the interactive shell:.......

TITLE : Automate the Boring Stuff with Python
At ?? we make a new image that is a 100~100 transparent square. Calling getpixel() on some coordinates in this image returns (0, 0, 0, 0) because the image is transparent ??. To color pixels in this image, we can use nested for loops to go through all the pixels in the top half of the image ?? and color each pixel using putpixel() ??. Here we pass putpixel() the RGB tuple (210, 210, 210), a light gray........

TITLE : Working with video · Creative Coding
Playing videos is boring, like I can do that on my phone. Whatevs. I understand this, so I want to show you something a bit more interesting: how to get pixel data from a video. In the draw() function, you can call a videofs .getPixels() function, which makes it possible to use the .pixels attribute of the video to get the color at a particular position in the current frame of the video. Herefs an example:.......

TITLE : DirectX version of GDI's GetPixel? | Beyond3D Forum
While a GDI GetPixel(x,y) is fast enough to test pixels of GDI applications, it certainly bogs down to a crawl any time your target is DirectX. I've been reading through the DirectX SDK docs looking for any clue as to whether one application can sample the screen output of another application. So far, I'm not seeing anything that looks promising........

This saves you the trouble of either using multiple iterators (messy) or maintaining multiple pointers (awful). The Surface does provide getPixel() and setPixel() methods to return the Color of a pixel at a single point, but the accessor methods of Iter are faster and preferable. The first issue is actually easy to avoid. Wefll put a one frame delay between ReadPixels() and GetPixels(), then whatever transfer happens will be complete by the time we need to access the values. So far, so good........

TITLE : Real-Time Image Capture in Unity Google Developers Medium
This leads us back to GetPixels(), which is allocating memory on each call and transferring ownership of that memory to the caller. Since it canft be reused on the next call to GetPixels(), each frame capture generates heap garbage, which gets reaped about every 20 frames, depending on the framebuffer size........

In 0.9, getPixelsRef() is being deprecated. In the future, getPixels() will return an ofPixels object (and getPixelsRef() will disappear). But for 0.8.4 and your code, getPixelsRef() would be the way to go since it gives you the niceties of ofPixels. (And since ofVideoGrabber gives you access to the current frame's pixels via getPixelsRef(), you don't have to create an ofImage, like you started out doing.).......

Image.getpixel() returns the value of a single pixel. Just give a tuple with the X and Y coordinates and getpixel() returns a 3-tuple RGB for a RGB image or a single value for a luminance image. Image.getdata() returns the complete pixmap. You need the Python function list() to create the pixmap list of RGB tuples........

TITLE : 5 Data Representation
This example illustrates the use of the SetPixel() and GetPixel() methods. These two methods provide direct access to the pixel data contained in the image. Note that these two methods are relatively slow and should not be used in situations where high-performance access is required. Image iterators are the appropriate mechanism to efficiently access image pixel data........
http://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/SoftwareGuide/SoftwareGuidech5.html
TITLE : 5 Data Representation
Having defined a pixel position with an index, it is then possible to access the content of the pixel in the image. The GetPixel() method allows us to get the value of the pixels........
