TITLE : Boost on Windows
Hi Thomas ! First of all congrats in giving Boost binaries for the internet community. I have a question here. Boost v51 32 bit-build using VC11 doesn't run on Windows XP 32 bit. For example, the date_time.dll uses "GetTickCount64()" which isn't available on Kernel32.dll of Windows XP machine. I tried myself building the binaries and this function symbol is introduced into the dll. I amn't sure how to get rid of it other than modifying the Boost sources........

Hmm, I havenft seen this crop up before. Is GetTickCount64() actually getting called? I havenft tried date-time on XP recently, was it working with previous versions? I know it was working back in the ~1.45 era........

TITLE : [JDK-8173110] HTMLEditorApp demo project raises an exception and cannot be run on Windows XP - Java Bug System
Additional information from the submitter, I've made some research and found the source of the problem. It was introduced by the patch http://hg.openjdk.java.net/openjfx/8u/rt/rev/09d66d90666e which affects jfxwebkit.dll JavaFX library.Since the GetTickCount64() function is missing in Kernel32.dll on Windows XP, this library cannot be loaded anymore. Thus, all code that depends on it (including that using HTMLEditor control) is now broken........

Guess which function call doesnft exist on XP? See the MSDN[1][2] again. GetTickCount64() really is an improvement over GetTickCount(), but still, XP simply doesnft have this either. As you can see from the title bar, the offending binary is cs2.exe, which is the actual game. We can get rid of the issue by using Olegsf patcher again, so itfs the same process as with INSTALL.exe, just use this script instead, call it xp_cs2.cmd or something:.......

TITLE : Media – The GAT at XIN.at
This error means that the header of the binary is asking for a more modern platform. This may make sense, if the program really calls modern functions, but you know, there are modern applications that donft ask for it and then fail with calls to things like GetTickCount64(), and there are programs which ask for a modern platform without ever having an actual need for it. The patchers are in the latter category of programs........

The Steam version of Nekopara Vol.3 breaks on XP as well of course, due to GetTickCount64() call, a newer and better version of GetTickCount(), see MSDN[1][2]........
