In the above profile, this takes up 7.1% of the main frame loop time, while locking up the main thread. In WebGL, there are no current sensible uses for glFlush() (nor glFinish()), so the time that is taken up by this call is redundant........

Ifll be testing on iPhone 3Gs with iOS 4.2.1. Timer is started before glClear() and stopped after glFinish() that I added just after drawing the mesh........

For devices which don't support opengl es 3.0, I call only glFinish(), and for SGS3 this doesn't work for some reason.......

Instead of glFinish() can you please try glFlush() and lets us know if that solves the issue........
