In OpenGL, you create a display list using glGenLists(1), which will return a GLuint (which will be 0 if a failure has occured), and the actual contents of the list are generated in between glNewList(GLuint list, mode) and glEndList(). They are then called using glCallList(list) and free'd with glDeleteList(list, 1). glIsList(list) is used to check for the existance of a list........
