The warnings actually tell you that some columns had zero MAD; the wording is poor and I will improve it to remove the mentioning of NA. To identify cases where mad=0, simply run mad.x = apply(x,2, mad) (substitute your data for x) or colMads(x) from package matrixStats (faster than apply). Then check which mad.x are zero........
